SEPTA's first fundraisers have begun successfully on the Solano campus.  The ice cream sales organized by Verónica López, VP for Ways and Means, and President Take Tada, have been doing very well thanks to the service of PTA and Parent volunteers. Our PTA fundraisers support and sponsor programs and needs of Solano Elementary according to the ongoing collaboration and conversations among the PTA executive board, Solano faculty, and Principal Bertrand.  Priorities include safe and hygenic routes to school, new desks, and computers.

In spring of 2011 inaugural membership donations provided enough funds for SEPTA to donate a digital camera to the school for classroom use.  VP for membership, Paul Buckley, who organizes volunteers and member recruiting can be reached at

In October we will hold a clothes drive fundraiser, so please hold on to the clothing that your family has outgrown and donate it to the PTA.  For drop off days and times, please keep an eye on your students' homework folders, where flyers with more information will be sent to you.
